You're Next (2013)

I know I haven't written here in a long time, but this movie is so bad I just wanted to warn everyone. A story about a home invasion during a family vacation. This movie sucks!! The first couple left maybe 20 mins into the movie and told everyone left, which was about 20 people on opening day, that they wanted their money back. The 2nd couple left about 10 mins after that. The concept of the movie was great, but the execution was a joke. It was supposed to be a thriller, but the movie made the audience laugh. Weak characters and unrealistic reactions. This movie is worst than The Purge and I wanted my money back for The Purge.

Rating = 1 / 5 Star!

Mud (2013)

A story about a boy who helps a stranger. This is a great movie with good old character development and storytelling. There were not a lot of distractions like explosions, car chases, or transforming robots, but who needs those when a story is good enough? Although this love story may seem a little bit too long, overall it was worth watching.

Rating = 4 / 5 Stars!

Don't Click (2012)

Similar to The Ring (1998), this movie takes on the concept of video haunting but in a more modern approach using the internet. The movie revolves around two sisters. The younger sister is a victim after viewing a video that is shared, while the older sister is trying to help free her sister from the curse. The movie has it jumpy moments but is not really that scary. The movie's attempt at being a scary Korean film is acceptable, but doesn't leave the creepy hide-under-your-blanket vibe as with many other Asian horror films.

Rating = 3 / 5 Stars!

Warm Bodies (2013)

A comedy about a zombie becoming human, think Romeo and Juliet with a male zombie and female human.  The movie had it funny moments, but at the same time had it's loopholes. I thought the zombies were way too smart. The love story was cheesy, but different in a good way, not the Twilight vomit-in-my-mouth way. Check it out if you want to see a funny zombie love story.

The Host (2013)

A movie about alien parasites taking over human bodies and trying to use the hosts' memories against them. The movie is silly! All the talking voice in my head crap is laughable. There are parts of the movie where I thought, "that was dumb!" What a waste of two plus hours. I'm not wasting anymore time with this movie review.

Evil Dead (2013)

Five friends in the woods getting possessed. I heard it was a remake but I haven't seen the previous version. The movie starts out very well. Gross and jumpy scenes here and there. However, about halfway through the movie, things started getting silly. The characters started behaving stupidly. The audience I saw the movie with laughed more than gasped. One thing does hold throughout the movie: gruesome  Although, I heard critics give it a positive review, I would not recommend this movie, unless you want to go to a scary movie to laugh.

Temptation (2013)

A Terry Perry movie about cheating. I have to start off my by saying, my girlfriend picked this movie. The movie is somewhat believable for people who know dramatic people. The plot is predictable from the trailers, however I enjoyed it more than I thought I would have. It's one of those love it or hate it movie and the critics hated it while the audience was into it. PS. Kim Kardashin can not act. It was like she was over acting.
